Last call for Eastbourne, I have been advised by our runions organiser, Doug, that there are very few rooms left for the September reunion at Eastbourne, so it is a case of don`t dither to long or you might just miss out on a great weekend. Whilst writing about reunions I would advise that Doug and his assistant along with our contact at the IOW Tours Ltd have failed in their attempt to find suitable accommodation for our 2010 reunion in the Scarborough area as had been intimated at our AGM in April. The main concerns were lack of parking facilities, accommodation and the price being charged, in some instances as much as £99 per person per night. In order to ensure that we have a main reunion and AGM next year a quick decision was taken by the committee and we shall be returning to the Shanklin Hotel, Isle of Wight on the weekend of the 7th - 10th May 2010. Booking forms and itinerary are available for download on line. This arrangement offers excellent VFM and is one that comes highly recommended. For those members who have difficulty in downloading items from the web site there will be a booking form enclosed in the PP which will be out in the next few weeks. In the meantime enjoy the summer and all that it brings us.
